Anna Neel joins MPB as Chief Operating Officer
JACKSON, miss. – Mississippi Public Broadcasting welcomes Anna M. Neel, an incumbent communications professional, as the agency’s new director of operations.
As COO, Neel will be responsible for implementing strategic initiatives that leverage MPB’s operational capabilities and maximize public satisfaction. She will work with stakeholders across Mississippi to ensure MPB continues to deliver rich educational content for a knowledgeable audience across multiple communication platforms. In partnership with management, Neel will develop commercial strategies while managing the agency’s marketing initiatives and repositioning the MPB brand.

Neel has held numerous positions in the communications industry over the past 20 years. His career began at CNN in Atlanta before joining the international nonprofit Habitat for Humanity International.
Neel moved to Mississippi to work with local and state leaders to make Mississippi whole after the BP oil spill in 2010, as co-chair of public affairs on assessing natural resource damage.
Since moving to Mississippi, Neel has worked with many organizations, brands and elected officials on strategies related to state and national interests. A recognized thought leader, she will continue to work closely with heads of state and lawmakers to best position the state on the national stage, while helping to shape policies on issues that improve the lives of compatriots. of Mississippi.
Neel was also recognized as one of Mississippi’s 50 Best Business Women, as well as Mississippi Business Journal ‘s Top 40 under 40.
