‘I have a child in pain’: Megan Fox says she bought books written by transgender kids
Megan Fox has revealed she bought books written by transgender children for her son Noah – after developing a desire to wear dresses.
Appearing on the cover of Glamor UK’s April issue, the 35-year-old actress claimed she encourages her brood to express themselves through clothing “however they want” while insisting it’s nothing to do with their sexuality.
Megan shares Noah, nine, Bodhi, eight, and Journey, five, with ex-husband Brian Austin Green, to whom she was married between 2010 and 2021. She got engaged to musician Machine Gun Kelly in January of this year.
Speaking about her struggles as a mother, the Teen Choice Award winner then cryptically admitted that she “worries” for a child who is “in pain”, adding that she “wishes humanity weren’t like that”.
However, Megan has finally said she wants to teach her three children that they can “express themselves through clothes however they want” and hopes to make sure none of them feel “weird, strange or different”.
‘I have a child in pain’: Megan Fox reveals to Glamor UK that she bought books written by transgender children after her son Noah, nine, developed a desire to wear dresses
Doting mother: The actress, 35, said she encourages all of her brood, including Noah (pictured in 2020 on an outing with his dad), to express themselves through clothes ‘like they want” while assuring them that it has nothing to do with their sexuality
She told the magazine: ‘I bought a bunch of books that sort of dealt with these things and covered a whole spectrum of what it is.
“Some of the books are written by transgender children. Some of the books explain how you can be a boy and wear a dress; you can express yourself through your clothes however you want. And it doesn’t even have anything to do with your sexuality.
“So from a very young age, I incorporated these things into their daily lives so that no one felt weird or strange or different.”
Speaking about her fears over her son Noah, Megan – who graces the cover of April Glamor UK in a futuristic silver look – admitted she was ‘worried’ about the nine-year-old’s ‘suffering’, but added that the youngster was “so brave”.
“I have a child who is in pain,” she said. “So I have a lot of concern about that, because I just wish humanity wasn’t like that.”
“Although my child is so brave and my child is so brave and I know they chose this trip for a reason. It’s just hard as a mom.
Megan previously revealed that Noah was sometimes teased by other boys at school for wearing dresses, although she added that he “didn’t care” about their teasing.
While chatting on The View in 2019, Megan talked about young Noah’s impeccable style.
“He designs, he designs outfits. He is very talented, but he is still six years old,” she said.

Megan opened up about young Noah’s impeccable style in 2019, revealing, “He’s really into fashion…he dresses up and he likes to wear dresses, sometimes.” Noah is pictured left with his mother and siblings last month
Discuss: She said, “Even…here in California, there are still little boys who say, ‘Boys don’t wear dresses’ or ‘Boys don’t wear roses’ (Megan pictured with her three sons : (LR) Voyage, Noah and Bodhi)
‘He’s really into fashion. It’s him, like sometimes he dresses up and he likes to wear dresses sometimes.
“And I’m sending him to a really liberal school, like a hippie,” she continued. “But even over there, here in California, there are still little boys saying, ‘Boys don’t wear dresses,’ or ‘Boys don’t wear roses.'”
Despite the taunts of the other boys, Megan taught her son to follow his own course in life.
“We’re going through this now, where I’m trying to teach him to be confident no matter what anyone else says.”
The Transformers star explained that Noah stopped wearing dresses for a while, although he wore one again this week.
“He came home and I was like, ‘How was it? Are there any friends at school who have something to say? And he was like, ‘Well, all the boys laughed when I walked in’, but he’s like, ‘I don’t care, I like dresses too much.’
Megan’s husband, Beverly Hills 90210 star Brian Austin Green defended his son in 2017 when his wife shared a photo of Noah wearing a dress from the Disney movie Frozen.
Megan’s ex-husband Brian Austin Green previously defended Noah’s clothing choices. “My son, he is four years old. I’ve heard some people say they disagree with him wearing robes. I tell them I don’t care’; photographed together in 2014
“My son, he’s four years old,” he said at the time. “I’ve heard from some people that they don’t agree with him wearing dresses. I tell them I don’t care. He’s four years old and if he wants to wear it , he wears it.
‘And it’s dresses or glasses or slippers or whatever. It’s his life, it’s not my clothes,” he continued. “I feel like 4 out of 5 is a time he should have fun. It does no harm to anyone wearing a robe. So if he wants to wear a dress, good for him.
Megan has shared several photos of Noah on her Instagram, where he is usually pictured rocking a shaggy hairstyle and sometimes wearing stereotypically feminine clothes.

Of that bonding experience, she recalled, “It confirmed a lot of things for us that I needed to know or needed to feel. It opened a door for me for a lot of healing, from a personal experience I had with him, which led us to a place where we were now looking for the right outlets to heal in the future .
The now-engaged couple may not have started dating until May 2020, but Megan believes she’s been manifesting her future husband since she was four years old.
She explained, “Because he is literally my exact physical type that I have been manifesting since I was four years old. I am also four years older than him.
‘So I think I did. My thoughts and intentions made him the person he is, who knows what he would have looked like or been if it wasn’t for me.

She added, “Nobody really interacts with them too much, because they’re just stuck up… We’ve been to Vegas with them a couple of times and events and things like that.”
“But we’re not going on picnics or road trips, we don’t have a lot of double dates. I mean, between all of us, there are 900 children!
