Princess Beatrice “right on Eugenie’s heels” as baby prepares to borrow August’s clothes | Royal | New
Buckingham Palace announced that Beatrice was pregnant last week, a day that coincided with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s three-year marriage. It was taken by some as a snub to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, after the couple allegedly stole the thunder from Princess Eugenie by telling the family about Meghan’s pregnancy on her wedding day. Beatrice will welcome her baby with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, whom she married in Windsor last year.
Edoardo – whose nickname is Edo – already has a child from a previous relationship, five-year-old Christopher Woolf, nicknamed Wolfie.
Beatrice and Edo co-parent Wolfie with Edo’s ex-fiancé, Dara Huang, from whom he separated three years ago.
Beatrice will probably have met her nephew August by now.
Her younger sister Eugenie gave birth from August to February at Portland Hospital in London.

Now that the lockdown restrictions have been relaxed, August will likely see a lot more of his extended family.
Pod Save the Queen is hosted by Ann Gripper and features Daily Mirror Royal Editor Russell Myers.
Mr Myers said: “Very good news – ten months after their marriage they are expecting a baby.
“Obviously, right on her sister’s heels, when Eugenie had her little baby August.
“I know we’re still sort of in the Covid era, but I’m sure she came to see her sister and nephew.
“But there’s no doubt that she’s had a bit of training with the little one too, being a stepmom.
“So good luck to them, planned for the fall.”
Eugenie, active on social networks, has posted many adorable photos of her little baby.
Immediately after the birth, she posted a photo of the baby’s hand with three blue hearts to let royal fans know that she had had a boy.
Then she posted a very sweet family photo of herself, her husband Jack Brooksbank and the newborn – a photo that was taken by the midwife when she went to their house to check them out.
Weeks later on Mother’s Day, Eugenie posted a photo of August lying on the towel on the grass, alongside a photo of her mother Sarah Ferguson holding her baby.
Since then, she and Jack have posted a few photos from August wearing the aforementioned jacket with her name embroidered on the back.
In this way, Eugenie has been quite open to sharing photos of her baby so far, although often her face is fully or partially obscured.
Edo, on the other hand, has decided to protect Wolfie’s privacy and does not upload photos of his baby boy.
A spokesperson for the Duchess of York said earlier this year that Sarah was keen to stress that while she was thrilled with the news from Eugenie, she was “already a grandmother” to Wolfie, who is truly a part of. family.
